Let us now dientify a few additional elements that can help you, that can help all of us while building our online business:

You have identified where your passion and energy lies, you have set a clear goal and learned about the niche and and niche sub branches you want to enter.

Now it is time to find a “hot” market, a winning market and the right product and / or service to market for!

We have spoken about the niche of skiing in session 3. We have also identified several sub niches as

• how to ski
• gloves for skiing
• skiing accessories
• etc.

Now we want to find out which of the sub niches are those that can bring us most money or most value in terms of a fast growing list for instance.

This is information that you can find quite easily on any search machine. I use preferably Google where I search for forums on my niche of interest. Forums give you a great idea of what people speak about, what issues they have, what answers and solutions they are looking for.

Enter those discussions in case you are not completely sure. Start communicating in there with your potential customers.

Another great source of information are online magazines. If a niche has an online magazine that deals with it, then, oh yes, you can be assured that it is a “hot” market that it is worth striving for. Just type your niche + magazine into the search engine and you will know immediately if it is worth going for it or not!

Just to become really clear about this important lesson, let us take the example of “make money from home” as market we want to enter:

• eBay
• Information Product Creation
• How to Start a Business Online
• Copywriting
• Free Traffic Generation
• WebSite Creation
• How to learn HTML Coding
• etc.

All the above are examples of sub niches from the “make money from home” niche.

1. Check out which ones attract you most (some will focus on the writing skills, others on the website creation and therefore more techie parts, others on a combination of both, etc.)
2. Identify which have forums and online magazines
3. Start with one sub niche and then
4. Branch out to the other niches

This is the strategy to use for earning around the niche. Touching people at different moments on different topics, all relevant to them – as long as they are prospects and active members of your selected niche.

Once you have understood this mechanism, go out there and apply it. Search your niche; do some real marketing research and learn all you can about it and all possible sub niches.

There are three key elements to having a real business running:

2. a product or service to offer
3. your clients

Each of the three above need their time and dedication; you can not have customers if you have nothing to offer; you need the framework of a company and organisation for offering any service or product; you won’t be successful in selling any service nor product even if it is the best one as long as you do not have a customer base you are taking care of.

It is like a circle, one does not work without the other. You ahve to establish all three, step after step. Wven if it is just you as a one person company – divide your time into those 3 important elements. Give time to creation and brainstorming. Get your thoughts organsied and take massive action. Follow up and continuity are as important as your steady action.

Keep this in mind; provide value added content to your audience and do it with passion. Be organised and supportive. Take your time building up this small scheme as it will help you on your way to your success!
