Hallo and welcome back to the Online Marketing Success Training Camp!

This last session of the Online Marketing Success Training Camp just is meant to giving you some additional ideas about successful online marketing activities, for a second step that you will take, in a few weeks time eventually:

Video Marketing

Joint Ventures

Private Label Rights

Reinvesting Profit

Video Marketing

We have already discussed Social Networks as one way of engaging with your potential clients and customers. Short personal audio and video messages are the next level to take. Short messages, valuable and interesting in content is what can bring you additional traffic and sales! Very easy steps to follow here as well:

register a short video

add title and domain address by using the windows movie maker for instance

Upload it to YouTube, Metacafe and YouTube Videos for instance

Bookmark it and write a blog about your video

Use the link to your video in your signature box and on your social networks to share with others

and the traffic will come!

Of course there are more sophisticated ways of registering and sharing a video online – but this is a great way to start with as again, the same magic formula as for all the rest has to be applied: it is about Action and not perfection; perfection will come along the way!

Joint Ventures

Entering a Joint Venture can have many advantages. Research that topic in detail whenever you feel ready for it. Finding some service or product providers online, within your market or niche, with your passion and drive – to complement the services and products that both parties have – this is the main goal here. Maybe your potential JV partner has a huge list and you the missing service to satisfy his or her clients. This for sure is a very powerful method that could explode your business!

Private Label Rights

There is work involved if you really plan to brand yourself, offer products that will stand up to the competition, and build a long-term business.

Private label rights give you total rights to products such as software, articles and eBooks. PLRs give you the right to handle the product as if it was yours. You can even modify it, if you want to! There is still all the work around branding yourself and the product or service involved, for sure it can give you a faster start and results as you do not need going through the whole process of creating your own product, from the concept through to the finished product. So it is a considerable alternative to an affiliate product – with all profit staying in for you!

Again, if interested, please take your time and consider it in all details. It might be a fantastic opportunity to scale up from affiliate to PLR and then to your own product; it might complement your owns product or be just “the one” you market online, without any “side effects” of affiliate marketing. Then it all becomes your responsibility and your profit!

Reinvest your Profit

You are here to learn how to make money online. This is a great decision and a huge opportunity. One general rule that I want to give you here is to reinvest your profits. Reinvest into your personal development and new marketing training techniques and tools and also reinvest in new sources of advertising as paid banner ads or professional CPA or PPCs.

The more you invest, the better you track, the faster you will manage enjoying all your profits and fulfilling your dreams!

There for sure is much more for scaling up your business, and I am not worried about you finding the right techniques for first building and then scaling up your business. The most important thing is to take the first step!

Taking this first step not only is the most important but also the most difficult step to take. The “why” here is very easy: it is change and we humans have generally quite an issue if it come to change.

Everyone around the world speaks about change and crisis and change through crisis. Everyone is challenged or at least feels challenged. The thing that really makes the difference here and the right question to ask now is: “How do people manage change? How do they deal with change?

Safety thinking is the biggest driver, both in the past as well as in the present. On one side we all know that 100% security is an illusion, on the other side we still strive for it. People are afraid of change and it takes quite a big portion of courage and audacity to taking this first little step.

We have learned certain patterns and behaviors as children, they are normal to us and within these frameworks we are flexible. The day that these are not sufficient any longer, the day when we need to really change old tested ways of doing and being, often we are faced with negative feelings, fear and skepticism.

Still, there is an old saying “who does not dare, cannot win”, and this is so true; even more right now for you! You are starting into an online venture; you might have many in your vicinity questioning what you are doing; you are exposed to new ways and methods of achieving your personal and professional goals and the very best news of all is:

YOU HAVE ALREADY TAKEN THIS VERY FIRST, EXTREMELY IMPORTANT AND DIFFICULT STEP! CONGRATULATIONS!

Keep your goals focused and work with passion and determination for achieving them.

It is with quite a lot of nostalgia that I have prepared and written this last session for you. It has been a very intense time we have spent over the past weeks together. I have really enjoyed sharing with you and seeing you grow and taking your first steps towards your success.

I also do want to say a huge THANK YOU for all your active participation, your comments and feedback, both here in the comment areas and many via direct mail to me.

Please make sure to keep me posted on your progress and success, I will be honored to know and join in with my congratulations for you!

What is it that you can expect from me and KGI Consult? Well, there are clear plans on mindsetting and personal development and the two main blocks I will be focusing at. Coaching you through empowerment techniques and mindsetting sessions and therefore giving you a strong background and base for focusing on building your online marketing success stories!

Make sure to register for the KGI Newsletter (here on the top right side of this page), if you have not done so yet, to make sure that you have all news served directly to your inbox – and you decide which train to jump on!

To your success

Hallo and welcome to this last main session of the Online Marketing Success Training Camp!

We have come a long way through together. You have identified your passion and your niche. You have set yourself a concrete goal and have been focused and determined to learn and work so far through all the process of online marketing.

You have had an insight into the most common online marketing techniques and systems. You have been really exposed to an enormous amount of information. Some will be already crystal clear to you, other parts might yet have a bigger question mark than they had before.

The good news is: this is normal! You will get acquainted with those tools that best suit your purpose and business along the way; it is really all learning by doing that comes now. Taking action and applying what you have learned.

So, where to start from”, might be an absolutely valid question you might be asking yourself.

Well, I have a huge surprise for you! Actually, consider this my gift for having worked with me through this online marketing success training camp and having taken action arriving till here!

Her is your fast track start guide, all ready for you to start using and applying it as of NOW!

So , without any further delay, here you go!

1) Set up a BLOG with Wordpress.com is my suggestion; very easy and straight forward. An alternative is Blogger.com You may want to link it to your main url and call it MyDomainBlog or just leave it with the default URL given for free by Wordpress. If you want an own domain name I just can suggest GoDaddy.com as they have the best offers! Just be sure NOT to trap into any up-selling of GoDaddy – just buy the URL! (GoDaddy is top among the companies making tons of money through up-selling!)

2) Get www.tweetDeck.com to better manage your twitters and Facebook posts. It is free!

Monday

Write a Blog Post

Join a forum in your Niche (e.g. LifeStyleForum or so – check it out on Google, there are tons of them!)

Answer 5 Yahoo Questions in your Niche (YahooAnswers.com)

Submit a Press Release at e.g. PRWeb (paid) or free press release sites as www.free-news-release.com www.przoom.com www.addpr.com www.FreePressReleases.co.uk www.i-newswire.com

Announce on Twitter that you are preparing a press release amd invite people to look out for it

Tuesday

Submit Monday’s Blog Post (after having changed some words, twisted the title, etc… to

www.Ezinearticles.com

www.GoARticles.com

www.ArticleDashBoard.com

www.realworldtactics.com/articledirectory

The above is also called SPINNING. JetSpinner.com is a paid tool which is great but costs approx 100$ I still suggest you keep it in mind but you do not need it now … I have it but still do not use it ….

Bookmark the blog and any other posts from Monday with

www.Digg.com

www.StumbleUpon.com

and any others. Here I use a Bookmarking service called www.Onlywire.com which costs just 25$ for a full year but bookmarks to all relevant bookmarking sites with one simple click. This is definitely worth while as it saves you a lot of money and nerves ) Once you sign up you need to register with all the sites they bookmark to, so calculate approx 2 hours for that but after wards it should not take more than 2 minutes to bookmark any articles or blog )

Do some research about your niche and try to leave 1 to 3 comments on other people’s forums and blog posts! SO your name starts circulating )

Wednesday

Write a blog post again

Submit your blog post from Day 1 as an article to

www.SearchWarp.com

www.Insare.com

www.Amazines.com

Post in forums and twitter about what you do including links to interesting articles you have read … this will show people that you provide them with high value information and not only with information about you and the only scope of selling them your products …

THURSDAY

Submit Wednesday’s Blog as article to

www.EzineArticles.com (the first time you submit to them it might take up to 2 weeks till they approve, then it takes max 48 hours and after 10 articles and continuity you get the ezine author status )

www.Goarticles.com

www.ArticleDashboard.com

Bookmark , Twitter and Go to Forums to leave comments. You can also Bookmark other peoples’ posts and articles which again will help showing that you are “good guys”

Friday

Write a new Blog post

Submit your post from Monday as articles to searchwarp, insare and amazines

Check Out www.HubPages.com and post your Blog from Monday on there as well

Post again in Forums and Twitter

Saturday

Make a lens with www.Squidoo.com and talk about your week

Bookmark your Hubpage and Twitter about it

Sunday – RELAX

Monday, start it all over again including Bookmarking your Squidoolens from Saturday

It seems a lot but it works, it takes time and you won’t see immediate results but it works. So give it a try and even if you have just one comment or one reader … it is a start )

To your success

Take action now

Your Kasia G.

Hallo and welcome,

we are heading towards the end of the Online Marketing Success Training Camp! It is not that you now are supposed to know all miracles of online marketing. What you should know though is what it is all about and have all basic elements available for kick starting your online experience. All the rest, perfection and in-depth knowledge will come along the way, the more you practice, the better the results will be, the more comfortable you will feel!

The most important thing though is to START. As I know from my personal experience and have heard the same story from many other online marketers away, I have decided to dedicate another session to BLOGGING and the power of it.

Blogging is straight forward, easy language and easy tools, therefore an activity anyone can start immediately. AN through blogging you will learn many new steps, all among those we have touched here in our Online Marketing Success Training Camp series. So, without any further delay, let us start!

What is a blog?

Blog is derived from the words “Web Log,” which has be shortened to just “Blog.” Blogs can be used for a multitude of different reasons. Here are some of the most common ways in which blogs are used.

Personal & Diary Blogs (family updates, photos, info)

News (News discussions, current events, etc.)

Opinions (politics, gossip, etc.)

Business (product reviews, FAQs, website promotion, etc)

RSS Feeds

Why Does Your Business Need a Blog?

Blogs can do a lot for your business. Whether you’re selling skincare products, information products, or anything in between, your business SHOULD have a blog. Ten years ago it used to be said that “if you didn’t have a website, you would get left in the dust.” This proved to be true. Likewise, it’s being said today that businesses without a blog will also be left in the dust. I believe that this will also be the case. Blogs offer a lot of benefits for your business, and if your want to grow your business, you will definitely want to have a blog for your business.

Here are a few ways that Blogs Can Benefit Your Business:

For Your Customers – Blogs are a great way to provide fresh and relevant content to your customers. Providing fresh content will give them something to read, and keep them coming back to your site.

Search Engines – search engines LOVE blogs because by nature, blogs have fresh and new content. Constantly changing content is something that search engines, especially Google, love. By having a blog, you give the search engine spiders a reason to keep coming back and indexing your site.

Social Media – Taking part in, and building an online community is a great way to promote your business within the web 2.0 community. For more on this, listen or research more on Social Media Optimization.

SEO (search engine optimization) – Blogging for SEO purposes is one of the biggest benefits of blogging because it provides you a great vehicle for building anchored text links on your keyword phrases.

Write a post that is relevant to your products, niche, or industry.

Insert between 2-3 keyword phrases in your posts, linking each keyword phrase to the page of your site that is most relevant for that keyword phrase (also known as deep linking).

Insert an image into your post. The image should be linked to the page of your site, most applicable to the main topic of your post. Also, you can use the alt tag attributes of the image in insert one of your main keyword phrases.

How Often Should You Blog?

Well, there is no definitive answer to how often you should blog, the short answer is this: as often as you can. Blogging often builds your content faster, builds more keyword phrase links to your site (backlinks), which helps tremendously with SEO, and gives your customers and readers a reason to come back more often (this includes the search engines). Here are some recommendations I make to my clients when instructing them on blogging:

Starting Your Blog

There are two main ways you can get a blog going. The first is by purchasing some web hosting space from a hosting provider, such as the one I recommend here. Or, you can get a free blog by joining a blogging community, such as blogger, MySpace, etc. Here are the differences between the two.

While there are a lot of different blogging software available, I recommend WordPress for the following reasons. It’s free, it’s the most widely used, and it’s open source – which means that there are a lot of additional components available via plugins that will allow you customize your blog in a number of different ways.

Community Blogs

Joining a blogging community will allow you to get a blog started without paying any hosting fees, however there are some definite disadvantages to choosing a free blog. Some of the disadvantages are:

Can’t Integrate It With Your Site

No Custom Domain Name

Follow Their Terms of Service

Not as flexible (templates, plugins, etc)

With that said, if you still want to use a free blog for your business, here are some places you can get one:

http://www.wordpress.com

http://blogspot.com

http://www.myspace.com

Just for your information – I do use a WordPress blog and love it and my web designer has integrated it to my website!

Link Building by Commenting On Other Blogs

Finding Blogs to comment on:

Go to Google.com and search for blogs that are related to your product / website, etc.

Example: Skiing Blog

Browse through articles, if you like a blog post, make a comment by doing the following:

Name: keyword phrase

URL: website address that corresponds to the keyword phrase you entered into the name field.

Build links by posting comments on others blogs.

Syndicate Your Blog

Syndication is simply the sharing of content. Either you’re sending your content out where others can use it, or you’re receiving content from other’s via RSS. If you’re using syndicated content on your site, then every time the blog that you’re gathering information from is updated, the content of your own site will be updated automatically via the RSS feed. So, once you create a blog and you begin to add content to it, then you can begin to syndicate it’s content.

Once you locate the appropriate RSS feed button, you can click on it and it will take you to a page that provides you with your feed URL. In Firefox browser, most of the time you can click the little orange RSS box on the far right of the blog URL. One great thing about most blogging software is the ability to make a submission automatically update and post. This automatic syndication is called “pinging.” Within the blogging program you will need to reference the different directories you would like to ping with your blog. You can also go out and manually submit your site to directories using your RSS feed URL.

Here are some different syndicating directories you may want to submit your blog to:

›› Blogpulse (http://blogpulse.com/)

›› Feed24 (http://www.feed24.com/)

›› Weblogs (http://weblogs.com/)

›› Technorati (http://www.technorati.com/)

As you learn to syndicate your blog, you will better understand how to market your site, and reach a larger target audience. You will also learn to effectively utilize your blog for SEO purposes, and increase your search rankings within the major search engines.

So, to summarize this long excursion into BLOGGING, my suggestion for you is to

Start a blog on WordPress and consider contacting your host to see how to integrate a WordPress blog into your site.

Set a goal to blog as frequently as possible. 3 blogs a week are a good average! Make sure though to provide good value content!

Now, go out and blog.. This will help your SEO tremendously if you build links on keyword phrases!

Also, search for 5 blogs related to some of the ideas, products, or services you offer. Make HELPFUL comments on their blogs, and leave your URL in the space provided. Do this on a regular basis.

Any questions, drop me a line!

To your success

Your Kasia G.

Hallo and welcome back to another tracking session at the Online Marketing Success Training Camp!

This is a short one, just to make sure that you have all basic elements and do really understand the importance of tracking!

We all are very busy and for sure we want to always make best use out of our time! So here is why it is so important that you track ALL activities that should bring you clicks and leads, sales and clients!

It may be that your clients are attracted by AdWords, then there is no sense for you writing blog posts and articles as the return on investment, the leads and sales that you will get out of this activity will be marginal in terms of monetizing your efforts.

Whereas other business areas might take 90% of their leads from blogs and forum posts, it really depends on the niche market you are working in and on the services and products you offer. You just need to test and try all available possibilities, check which ones best suit your market and then become an expert using those that best fit you!

Do your blogs bring you revenue?

What traffic brings you sales?

Where is the traffic that brings money?

Some easy ways for checking this is having different landing pages for one service or product that you offer. People click on an add or on a link in your signature box and before being brought to the actual sales page come to your landing page, often also known as magnetizer page. You can create a few of those, always changing the headings, eventually some pictures or bullets; have one with a voice message, one with a short video message and one a static one with just written text on it.

You very fast will see thanks to tracking statistics if it is your voice message, the video or the more traditional landing page that brings you more leads and customers!

And this is just one fast and easy way, actually a very good one to start with! Again, as already mentioned in our last session, use an expert from elance.com or guru.com or any other source you might have to help you, but do it!

You have to track everything! All ads and sources of traffic:

Use      a php script to provide redirection and add tracking to your affiliate      code if you are marketing as an affiliate;

Create      multiple landing pages;

Eliminate      multiple traffic sources that don’t work or convert;

Eliminate landing pages that don’t convert.

These are some of the key elements to tracking and I trust you now understand the importance and power in terms of return on investment on your efforts and spending.

I am not an expert in PPC (Pay per Click Ads), also known as Google AdWords, as my market seems to be more attracted by the more “personal” approach of blog posts and forum posts, motivational messaging via social media. This way my potential customers have a possibility of getting to know me.

This does not mean that I am not nor will I ever use the power of PPC; but I will make sure to get an expert on board to guide me through it, if not even set it up and monitor it for me!

This is just a short example to show you how different it is and how important it is to check what you are doing … imagine me investing dollars and dollars every day into AdWords … and sitting here frustrated about the little results …

My potential clients want to know who I am, what I think and when they need me, they know me already and can move straight on with the issue that I am privileged to help them with.

And you, you now want to know which method works best for you. The easiest way is by doing and testing, tracking and then specializing!

To your success

Your Kasia G.

Hallo and welcome back to the Online Marketing Success Training Camp!

I have given you a few days to start implementing what we have learned together. Many things might still be unclear, most of them not yet actions that you feel comfortable with or sure about – in terms of doing them correctly and for the best possible outcome.

Do not worry, this is just normal! All new things undergo 4 different phases – from unknown to known, from acting them consciously to becoming natural things that you do easily, as they are embedded in your subconscious and just make part of your (business) life.

It will also be worth going back to Day 1 of the Online Marketing Success Training Camp and reading or at least scrolling through the main lessons and topics we have touched:

1. your passion

2. your niche market

3. a product or service to market

4. the different marketing techniques to attracting people to your products and services

5. tracking which activity is most effective – the part we are starting just today

All over, one of the main elements is to always make sure to have the right mindset, to chose action over perfection and to be determined and focused on your goals. With this powerful mix, nothing will be able to get into your way!

So let us have a closer look at tracking right now!

Tracking is key to success! Sometimes a bit difficult to understand as it can get quite techy, still essential you do it or at least make sure it is taken care of. You want and need to know WHICH of your marketing and traffic driving techniques brings you most leads and clicks, most customers and clicks.

Oh yes, today it is time to learn a few new words, words and expressions that are important for tracking your activities.

If      you are offering a product or service as an affiliate – here you need the      affiliate code (this is how you get paid) and on top of it, as addition      the tracking code;

Landing      page – this is where your visitor gets sent to after clicking a link;

Do your blogs bring traffic? What traffic brings you sales? Try different landing pages with different headings and track everything you do! All ads, all sources of traffic. My suggestion is for you to use help offered by experts via guru or elance.com … and learn with them, try it out yourself as well, just for getting a better feeling.

An easy and still powerful tool for tracking activities by yourself is for instance the Google Analytics Tool. Type it into Google and follow the instructions. It is an excellent first insight into tracking.

Each and everyone will develop a preferred way of tracking activities

Google Analytics Tool

Self Tracking (which I will enter into more detail in our next session)

Outsource it

Other automated systems

Which turns out to be the best method for you, you technical affinity and needs, this you will discover very soon by yourself. The most important thing about it is that you start doing it as of the very beginning of you traffic driving and online marketing activities!

Why is this all so important? Well, the answer is quite straight forward:

You do not want to spend hours writing articles or paying someone to write them for you … and then have no results from this investment, in terms of potential client leads and clicks to your web site.

You do not want to spend many dollars for Google AdWords to then finding out that you were using the wrong keywords and have just lost all your money invested into this paid traffic driving technique.

You want to increase the number of blog posts and video messages if you realize that this is what attracts people.

The three above are just a few examples of WHY tracking is so important so PLEASE make sure to ALWAYS check the outcome of your activities, in terms of clicks and new leads, in terms of new customers that you win!

To your success

Your Kasia G.

Hallo and welcome back to the Online Marketing Success Training Camp!

Tons of information and lots of things are going on. I know that you might feel overwhelmed … still bear with me and soon you will have the full picture and a clear view. Becoming a millionaire overnight – well, what a wonderful dream, unfortunately nothing I could teach you.

Powerful techniques and proven tips is what I can share here … and at the end – put it all together for you!

So let us move on with today’s session. We have already spoken in the early online marketing success training camp editions about the power of writing articles online. Today and the next session here are dedicated to an even deeper insight!

Articles

Why use Articles

Article Submission is a powerful method of gaining quality one-way incoming links to your website and has become standard in website search engine optimization strategies. It is a White Hat, ethical technique used by webmasters to promote their website or specific link URLs. This technique has many different forms but typically involves some sort of promotional content that encourages others to publish the link as a ‘biography box’ or ‘author’s link’ on their own websites and publications.

An experienced webmaster knows the power of original, unique content. Getting the unique content distributed online so that your website and links can be seen by a greater audience is vital. After submitting the unique article to an online directory of articles that is relevant to your website niche, the article gets read and picked up by many other webmasters.

With that said, this is one of the few tried and tested principles that you need to do when optimizing your websites and the one that people should concentrate on most is getting those quality, one way links pointing to your website. The more quality links you can get pointing to your website, the higher your site will rank in the search engines.

Article submissions are a great way to get links to your site because article directories will allow up to 3 hyper links back to your site from the resource box from every article you submit. Often they will also allow for deep linking to pages within your site. The article itself will create content for the back link that is relevant to your website. As your submissions to quality article websites are accepted, indexed; your link count rises and you will see that your search engine results are going to rise proportionally.

ADVANTAGES

o It is a real good strategy to get quality back links to the website.

Most effective strategy for an immediate raise in the traffic to your website.

As most of the Search engines love good content, Article Submission can be very effective and better way to improve the search engine ranking and link popularity.

Here are some article submission sites:

www.ezinearticles.com

www.articledashboard.com

www.goarticles.com

Effective link building principles:

Use your keywords to build links

Build links back to the pages of your site using your keywords.

Don’t miss the next session on article submissions!

To your success

Your Kasia G.

Hallo and welcome back!

As promised, here comes a short guideline on HOW to actually apply the knowledge and info you have read about in the last session of the Online Marketing success training camp.

Fast and straight forward, please find here some general guidelines for submitting to directories:

1. Navigate to the most appropriate category for your products. (if you’re selling physical products, Shopping should be the first category you choose).

2. In the URL field put your website address.

3. In the title field put ONE of your good keyword phrases exactly as it appears from your spreadsheet (based on the keyword research you did previously).

4. Fill in any additional information requested by the directory (except reciprocal links…never do reciprocal links with directories).

5. Submit to 40-80 directories per week – DO NOT SUBMIT TO MORE THAN THIS PER WEEK!

6. Rotate through 5-10 best keywords in the title field.

Finding Directories to Submit to:

1. DMOZ – http://dmoz.org This is the most qualified directory on the web. Submit to them, make sure to follow the instructions on the submission page.

2. Add URL – http://www.addurl.nu This is a list of over 800 free directories you can submit to.

3. SEO Company - http://www.seocompany.ca – Has a couple of hundred more free and paid directories you can submit to. I recommend starting with the free directories.

Go and try some. Remember to have all your homework done! What I am referring to is the correct keywords for your specific market niche! And the Marketing Online School will be right back here for you in a few days and share even more insight with you!

To your success

Your Kasia G.

Hallo and welcome back to the Online Marketing Success Training Camp!

We have gone a far way together already and by now I am sure that you start really understanding the whole picture of and around online marketing. It has many aspects and faces to it. You never can stop learning, applying, testing and trying; the same as the world wide web is in continuous movement and never stops!

We are already starting at advanced levels now … framework set, basics learned.

Today the advanced topic is all about Directory Submissions and Offsite SEO. What I am sharing here is what I have learned during my one year training at Prosper University on Online Marketing:

So, what is this all about?

The offsite optimization helps the search engines to find you so they can index your site, and then rank your site. Getting indexed in the search engines is vital to your site’s success. It’s estimated that once you’re indexed with the search engines, 85% of your traffic will come from search engines.

Link Popularity:

Building links back to your site (even within different pages of your own site) helps you with your search engine optimization (SEO).

“Click Here” example in Google. How did Adobe Acrobat get ranked #1 on google for the keywords “click here?” Because of the millions of links on the keyword “click here” that points back to their site. Popularity

Using link popularity both on-site, and off site.

What Google looks for as far as link popularity:

How many sites linking to you? (are there a lot of sites out there that have links to your site).

Relevance – are the sites that are linking to you relevant to what your page is about.

Karate at our skiing site = not relevant. It’s not helping you if it’s not relevant.

Find people inside your industry who aren’t competitors.

Trade links with those who are relevant, and try to trade links with those people who have a better PR (page rank) thank you.

What do those links say? (use keywords as links)

Anchored text.

o Referral – a link is a referral from another site. In business, referrals are the best type of new customer…..this is no different.

o Check your links: allinanchor: keyword

Quantity – How many links do you have to your site on a particular keyword phrase?

Quality – what is the quality (page rank) of the sites upon which your links appear?

Variety – building links on a different types of sites, not just one type of page or site, such as directories, blogs, etc. You want your links appearing on a good variety of sites, with a good varieity of page ranks.

Directories:

Similar to a phone book, it’s a directory, or listing of websites that fit within a certain category.

Directories help you build links by creating links to your site.

Search engines also rely on directories to find out about new sites, therefore directory submission is KEY to getting your site found and indexed by the search engines.

For example, look at http://dmoz.org

DMOZ is the most qualified directory on the web. Most major search engines use DMOZ to categorize and rank webpages.

Yahoo Directory is another major directory. While it is a paid directory, it is worth while to submit to them when you can afford to do so.

Directories “review” websites to see if they are built, optimized, and fit within the specified categories.

Search engines send their bots, or spyders to the directories to see what new sites have been listed, and then the search engines go and search the site.

Submitting to directories is the fastest, and most efficient way to build back links to your site.

http://www.addurl.nu has a list of 800 free directories you can submit to.

Well, enough for today and for this session. I will be back soon with some more suggestions on the HOW to best apporach this topic and actively apply it … and then leave you a few days to tyr and test it!

To your success

Your Kasia G.

Hallo and welcome back to a new session and actually section at the Online Marketing Success Training Camp!

Today is dedicated to SEO – Search Engine Optimisation. Search Engine Optimization is the strategy used by Internet marketers to obtain top rankings on the major search engines the natural way.

We have to differentiate among two main types of Serach Engine Optimisation:

1. Onsite SEO – meaning on your website

2. Offsite SEO – meaning any kind of activity you do for marketing your internet business, but happening outside of your actual website – which is most of it!

So let as have a closer look at it now!

Onsite SEO is anything you do to your site to include keywords you want to rank for

Title Tag

Meta Description and Keywords

Header tags

Content

Said in a very simple way: it is all about keywords! Keywords you use within your text, keywords you use to build your headers, keywords you use in your website programming – or make available to your webdesigner to use, when building your site.

Keyword research is key and updateing and checking those keywords every few months as essential as finding the right ones for your niche market!

Personally I am quite annoyed by searching for keywords, still I do it as I have personally experienced the power of them and the magic they can perform, if used correctly! So, make sure not to miss out on this important step here!

Offsite SEO is any kind of marketing you do for your Internet business that is not directly done on the website itself. It is mainly about link building strategies (90% I would say) … and the remaining 10% focuses on relation ship and image building.

Back to link building, you will realize that we have already covered most of the topics in here. The main goal of any of these activities is to go for the strategy of increasing link popularity, page rank, and web exposure through building relationships with related websites with high ILQ (inbound link quality) willing to give you a “vote” by linking to you. The most popular and powerful examples hereof are all known to you:

– Directory Submissions

– Article Submissions

– Press Releases

– Blogging

– Social Media

We still will have a look at each of them in the upcoming session!

See you soon

Your Kasia G.
